BBoon Siew Honda today launched a trio of models that have been updated for the year 2019, namely the CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X.
All three models share the same 471 cc, parallel-twin DOHC engine that produces 37 kW at 8,500 rpm and 45 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The mill is mated to a six-speed transmission which delivers the output through an assist/slipper clutch.
Additionally, the engine also receives revised inlet, exhaust and valve timing which result in 4% more mid-range power and torque.
Other upgrades include Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), new rear suspension, full LED lighting system and modernized LCD instruments with gear position and shift indicators.
