B-Quik Racing Team’s Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilksi celebrated their second overall Thailand Super Series victory so far this season in round four, with a dominant win at Buriram’s Chang International Circuit in the 2019 Audi R9 LMS GT3.
After a sensational third place finish in Saturday’s round three for Sandy Stuvik and team and series newcomer Martin Rump, a technical issue saw the Audi R8 LMS Ultra retire at the driver changeover in round four while running fourth. Nevertheless, it was a strong weekend for the B-Quik Racing team, with Kiks and Bilski strengthening their overall championship lead, and the team continuing its domination of the team classification.
“Our congratulations to B-Quik Racing on another strong Thailand Super Series weekend,” said Martin Kuehl, Director of Audi Sport customer racing Asia.
“An overall victory and two Am wins for the 2019 Audi R8 LMS GT3, plus a podium finish for the Ultra amongst a highly-competitive, multi-marque field is an impressive result. We look forward to carrying this momentum onto the next event.”
It was a dramatic weekend which saw new pairing Stuvik and Audi Sport Asia driver Rump take a superb third place podium finish in round three, only to have their aspirations thwarted by a technical hitch which cut short their second race at the half way point.
For Kiks and Bilski, meanwhile, a class win in round three was followed by their second outright victory of the season so far in round four, after a flawless second stint by Bilski saw the pair cross the line more than 22 seconds clear of their closest challenger.
