Remember, you already paid for them and they are included in your vehicle, in front and in the rear as well. They are called seatbelts and you and your passengers should be using them at all times when on the road.
Also, do not have too many loose objects in your car when on a journey. In an impact (accident) these loose objects become projectiles (missiles) and can harm passengers more than the vehicle impact itself.
With the on going Ramadan and Hari Raya festive season, Volvo Cars Malaysia has launched the #StandForSafety campaign, aimed at raising awareness on the importance of using safety belts for all car occupants.
One should know that the campaign coincides with the 60th anniversary of the invention of the three-point safety belt, which was invented by Nils Bohlin, a Volvo engineer, back in 1959. Volvo Cars gave the patent away, as it noted the importance of the device to the well-being of passengers the world over. Based on internal data collected by Volvo Cars since the 1960s, its estimated that the three-point safety belt has saved more than a million lives.
