As Malaysians wait for the locally-assembled Toyota Yaris to appear, the US-version of the Yaris Hatchback continues to be based on the Mazda 2. This is fine as the Mazda 2 hatchback isn’t available in that particular market.
Back when Toyota’s youth-oriented Scion brand folded is where you’ll trace the root of this trend.
For the 2020 model, the US-bound Toyota Yaris hatchback will feature this new bold front end with a hexagonal lower front grille and sharper looking headlamps.
But I think what you really want to see is how it looks next to the Mazda 2 and version that WE are getting.
