BMW 5-Series Now Available as 530e M Sport or 520i Luxury

Good news for anyone shopping for a brand new BMW 5-Series. We finally have the locally-assembled G30 in competitive specs.

BMW Malaysia introduced two new variants of the G30 5-Series today: the BMW 530e M Sport and 520i Luxury.

BMW 530e M Sport for RM 338,800.00

More than a year after the launch of the 530e Sport, an M Sport variant of this PHEV has been introduced. It’s still propelled by a TwinPower Turbo 2-litre engine and an eDrive system in its 8-speed automatic gearbox. The M Sport package brings the following features and equipment:

BMW 520i Luxury for RM 328,800.00

Completely new to the Malaysian G30 range is the new 520i Luxury. This is moved by a downtuned version of the TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre petrol engine.

In the 530i (which was introduced at launch), this engine generated 252hp and 350Nm of torque. In the 520i, it only outputs 184hp and 290Nm.

With its 8-Speed Steptronic transmission, 0 to 100 km/h is dispatched in 7.8 seconds. The 530i does that in just 6.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 235km/h.
