Hyundai recently upgraded their i40 but we in Malaysia will not be getting it. The saloon and the wagon received an updated Cascading Grille in the latest range of models, new wheel rim designs and revised bumper treatment.
Inside the cabin is a new upholstery for better quality, a new multimedia navigation system, 7-inch screen with Apple CarPlay support, driver’s seat with memory commands, cruise control steering wheel and rear parking sensors.
For assistance and protection, the car is equipped with an upgraded system to prevent frontal collisions with automatic maintenance of the distance from the forward-facing machine; Emergency braking warning system ESS Driver’s knee airbag: Treadmill monitoring and exit warning system automatic toggle switching system.
Other features include: a heated rear wheel and steering wheel, ventilated front seats, two-zone automatic climate control, upgraded instrument graphics and a rear camera.
For the South Korean market, this i40 is available with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated, naturally aspirated GDI engine that produces 166hp and is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
