Harley-Davidson Motor Company announces its 2019 model year lineup to serve the growing demand among Malaysian motorcycle enthusiasts. Effective March 16 2019, Sportster models are priced from RM62,600, while the recently-refreshed Softail models start at RM97,200.
“Witnessing the increasing demand for Harley-Davidson motorcycles amongst riders here in Malaysia reinforces our strategy to build a stronger dealer network. We are committed to keeping current loyal Harley-Davidson riders engaged as well as growing ridership across the country,” said Johan Kleinsteuber, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson Asia Emerging Markets.
“The 2019 model year introduces the Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO), Touring, Softail and Sportster family with new technology, updated features, styling tweaks, new finishes, and matching accessories, bringing a new level of performance to the Harley-Davidson line-up throughout our product range.”
Kleinsteuber added, “We believe that we can respond to the demand for Harley-Davidson motorcycles in Malaysia; and in doing so, help fulfill the dreams of motorcycle enthusiasts to own a Harley-Davidson at a price that is now more accessible than ever.”
The 2019 model year motorcycles are another example of how the company is investing in products and opportunities that inspire increased ridership in the near-term and deliver sustainable growth for the future as part of its More Roads to Harley-Davidson plan.
The accelerated plan, which was unveiled in 2018, focuses on building the next generation of riders through new products in additional motorcycle segments, providing broader access to the brand and products and a commitment to supporting and strengthening dealers globally.
All three authorized dealerships will be hosting their Model Year 2019 Open House on March 16 and 17, 2019, where the new bikes will be available for purchase. Harley-Davidson of Penang will also have their official opening on March 16, the third dealer operator to join the refreshed network of independently owned dealerships in Malaysia.
