A heavily camouflaged Geely Binyue was seen in Malaysia. Could it be the Proton X40, X50 or X60?
The Binyue only went into production late last year and was known as the SX11 during its preproduction phase. It is built on Geely’s BMA modular platform and will probably be brought in with a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder direct injection turbocharged petrol engine. It produces a respectable 174hp and 255Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

In China, the Binyue is priced between RM41k-RM71k. The Boyue’s price starts at around RM68,500. Will that mean the Proton version of the Binyue will be offered at about RM27K less than the base model X70? Would you buy an RM75K Proton crossover?
