Peugeot have been a little bit impatient this year. Their Concept 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered was supposed to premiere at the 2019 Geneva International Motor show in March. But they’ve already released loads of details and photos of the gorgeous thing.
The concept car has been imagined as a hybrid, showing what a marriage between Peugeot’s GT and HYBRID lines might look like in the future.
As the name suggests, the vehicle was put together by Peugeot Sport. They combined elements from the 208 Hybrid FE and the 308 R Hybrid Concept.
Here they’ve combined the PureTech 200 petrol, a 110hp electric motor at the front and a 200hp electric motor at the rear for four-wheel drive. This ought to give it a combined power output of 400hp and 500Nm of torque!
Being a concept, no performance claims should be taken too seriously. But they’re claiming the car will be able to do the century sprint in just 4.3 seconds and hit a maximum speed of 250km/h. It’ll feature 380mm ventilated brake discs and 245/35 R20 Pilot Sport 4S tyres. Full-electric range is estimated at 50km.
