Boon Siew Honda has announced new colour schemes for two of its offerings, the Rebel cruiser and the X-ADV adventure scooter.
Rebel
Having made its Malaysian debut in 2017, the Rebel has since been a crowd favourite thanks to its unique bobber styling. It is now available in Axis Grey Metallic and Pearl Cadet Grey, alongside the existing Graphite Black and Millennium Red colour schemes.
The Rebel is powered by a 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 45 hp at 8,500 rpm and 44.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Mated with a six-speed transmission, the engine is said to deliver strong bottom end torque and a smooth, linear power.
As for hardware, the bike gets a 41-mm front fork and dual rear shocks, with 16 inch wheels shod with 130/90 (front) and 150/80 (rear) tyres. Front and rear hydraulic discs as well as ABS provide ample braking power.
Available at all Honda Big Wing dealerships starting this month (December 2018), the Rebel is priced at RM32,399 (excluding registration, road tax and insurance).
X-ADV
For 2019, the adventure scooter now can be had in Matt Moonstone Silver Metallic to complement the existing Matt Bullet Silver and Grand Prix Red colour schemes.
The X-ADV features a 745 cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine with 54 hp at 6,250 rpm and 68 Nm at 4,750 rpm. A dual clutch transmission (DCT) with D, S and G modes is tasked to channel the power the rear wheel. Another addition is Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with two levels.
It is also equipped with a 21-litre underseat storage compartment, a 5-way adjustable windscreen, a tapered aluminum handlebar, Africa Twin hand guards, a rally-style instrument display as well as a smart key system.
The X-ADV can be yours for RM63,299 for the standard colour and RM65,499 for the Grand Prix Red version.
