Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur has officially launched the second-generation Aston Martin Vantage here in Malaysia. The supercar, which was styled after James Bond’s DB10, is priced from RM1.6 million after duties.
Powering the new Vantage is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 510 PS and 685 Nm of torque. Paired to an 8-speed ZF-sourced automatic transmission, the engine gets the Vantage up to 314 km/h with a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.7 seconds.
For the first time on an Aston Martin, the new Vantage also features an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff). This differential is linked to the car’s electronic stability control system, so it can understand the car’s behaviour, and react accordingly to direct the engine’s power to the relevant wheel.
The chassis is an evolution of the latest generation bonded aluminium structure first seen on the DB11, though some 70% of the structure’s components are new. It is supported by the Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with Skyhook Sport, Sport + and Track modes.
As for brakes, the Vantage is equipped with 400-mm ventilated two-piece steel brake discs at the front and 360-mm ventilated co-cast brake discs at the rear. The car comes standard with 20-inch Y-spoke wheels in silver with Pirelli P Zero tyres.
After-sales service is provided by Aston Martin Service Centre in Sungai Buloh. Measuring 4,000 sq. ft., the fully air-conditioned service centre comes with the latest tools, technology and equipment to ensure Aston Martin owners in Malaysia experience unparalleled British standards of excellence.
