Last year, Volkswagen released the T-Roc – a tiny little crossover which was made specifically for the European market. To feed the rest of the world’s appetite for crossovers and SUVs, they recently announced plans to create yet another small SUV. They teased this one back at the 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show, calling it the T-Cross.
According to Volkswagen’s official press site, the T-Cross will, in fact, go into production soon. They expect the final product to be ready for launch by the end of 2018.
The T-Cross will join the T-Roc, the Tiguan, the Tiguan Allspace and the Touareg to form Volkswagen’s SUV range. For some reason, the T-Cross AND the T-Roc will be sold in Europe, but only the T-Cross will find its way to China, South America and other parts of the world. Perhaps ours? Time will tell.
Being a modern Volkswagen, it is built on the MQB platform, allowing for excellent packaging properties and safety features.
