Boon Siew Honda has officially launched its latest offering, the new Dash 125. The kapcai now comes with several value-added upgrades over the previous Wave Dash that was first introduced seven years ago.
Powered by a 125 cc, single-cylinder SOHC two-stroke engine with programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI), the Dash 125 has 9.85 hp at 8,000 rpm and 9.54 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated with a four-speed manual.
Equipment-wise, this model features LED headlamp, electric- and kick-starter as well as a four-litre fuel tank. It is also equipped with a hydraulic disc brake at the front and depending on variant, a hydraulic disc brake or a drum brake at the rear.
The Dash 125 can be had in four new colours, namely Pearl Magellanic Black, Vivacity Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue and the Repsol Edition. Price starts from RM5,999 for the single-disc brake variant, RM6,299 for the double-disc variant and RM6,499 for the Repsol Edition, which comes with double disc brakes.
As with other models offered by Boon Siew Honda, the Dash 125 comes with a two-year or 20,000-km manufacturing warranty.
The new model will be used in the Honda Dash 125 Challenge one-make race as part of the Malaysian Cub Prix. Additionally, the company also announced two-time Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) winner, Zaqhwan Zaidi as the ambassador for the new Dash 125.
