I’m surprised to still find videos of occupants taking safety for granted, and carelessly ignoring common sense. Just an hour ago I found a video of this girl who gets lodged into the footwell after the driver suddenly hit the brakes.
I can’t seem to find an easily embeddable version of the video on youtube, but the pictures should give you an idea of what happened.

Some of us know people who continue to sit this way in cars. In fact, a couple of pop songs still casually refer to “resting feet on the dash” like it’s an acceptable habit. Please remember that cars are not a safe haven for you to get too comfortable.
