BMW shows us the slightly camouflaged G05 series on test drive . From the Arctic Circle to South Africa, from the Nürburgring to the roughest terrain.
Visually, there are no surprises with this G05 series. The larger double kidney remain in principle and the tailgate should continue to open in two parts.
The X5 is based on the same platform as the X3. BMW will use the base in all models with a longitudinally installed engine, from the 3 Series up to the X7.
Under the bonnet BMW there will be a 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder and a V8. The smallest petrol engine is the xDrive30i with 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which currently produces 252hp in the X3. The smallest diesel will also be a 4-cylinder, the xDrive25d currently comes to 231hp. The 6-cylinder diesel 30d and 40d and the M-Performance model M50d 400hp will also be in showrooms.
The plug-in hybrid xDrive40e is also confirmed. All versions and engines will come with 8-speed automatic and 4-wheel drive.
