German luxury tuning company Brabus have brought out the Brabus 550 Adventure 4×4², which it has just unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Adventure 4×4² is based on the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4². It’s finished in a Light Slate Gray coating and Brabus has fitted it with a powerful 4.0-litre V8 that produces 405kW and 800Nm, which accelerates the off-roader from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. The top speed is limited electronically to 210 km/h because of the aggressive off-road tyres and the electronically adjustable special suspension has been adjusted by Brabus to tackle even more off road obstacles.
In addition to the adjusted suspension, the offers Brabus Adventure 4×4² has four different damper settings. Drivers can switch between ‘Comfort,’ ‘Sport,’ ‘Off-Road’ and ‘Individual’ driving modes by tapping the particular option on the touch screen control panel. The latter position allows adjusting the damper firmness separately for the front and rear axle.
The bodywork conversion includes a front bumper guard, underride guard and a carbon-fibre bonnet scoop, a winch and rear bumper with integrated fog and backup lamp. The two corners of the roof are fitted with power-adjustable LED searchlights and a stip of LED lights runs along the front of the roof.
