The all new Range Rover Velar arrives to fill the gap between the popular Evoque (pictured above) and the luxurious Range Rover Sport (pictured below). This new Range Rover Velar rides on the same platform as the Jaguar F-Pace.
With prices starting from around RM600k, the Velar’s pricing is right smack in between the Range Rover Evoque which is selling from RM430,000 (Range Rover Evoque can now be yours from as low as 0.88%* per annum) and the RM857,888 Range Rover Sport.
At this price point price buyers for the Rage Rover Sport might look at the Velar which is about the same size and looks way more menacing than the Sport and comes with a long list of new features. Then there will be some Evoque buyers who might consider paying the extra RM170k (since the hire purchase loan tenure can be pushed to between 7-9 years. This Velar then might cannibalize sales from Evoque and for sure may Sport customers.
