AMG has not revealed this vehicle’s powertrain information but we are taking a guess that ti will be AMG’s 4.0-liter turbocharged V8. This is a bit of a departure from the earlier concept, which was said to have a hybrid setup consisting of the V8 plus a rear-wheel booster motor, adding up to a total of 805-plus system horsepower. AMG will definitely have an hybrid version at some point, which would compete directly with the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
The production version will debut at this year’s Geneva show. The prototype GT pictured here is testing right now.
