I lived on the same street in Johor Bahru for the first 2 decades of my life and I have to say the people on it have some fine taste in cars.
Over the years, the great potential classics have mostly been traded-in for more sensible options. But there is still one hold out:
Today, I appeal to you: do not let this old 7-Series turn into dust.
I didn’t have time to speak with the owner (or his descendant), but I remember this was the house of the old ‘Ketua Kampung’ at one point. Where once this green shark nosed E23 sat glistening in the sun, now it rots its skeleton.
The car itself isn’t roadworthy, but there’s still a chance for restoration, as the bodywork doesn’t look too bad (besides that one bit in the corner). Otherwise, a second life as a track car or even as a parts car wouldn’t be as bad as seeing it disappear into the earth.
The number to call is:
I’m sure most of us won’t give it a second look, but we’re sure you know a guy with a bit of cash on hand who has a love of older Bimmers.
