The dating app just introduced a new AI-powered feature called Super Likeable, which will present four possible matches that might “be of special interest to you,” the company explained in a blog post.
“You can’t search for it. You can’t find it. Super Likeable will come as a surprise as you swipe,” Tinder wrote. “If you land on it, it means you just earned one free Super Like that you can send to any of the four people presented to you on that card. Right then. Right there. Right on.”
Tinder is currently testing this feature with users in New York City and Los Angeles. It said it enlisted a “fancy AI” to pick out the possible dating matches, but didn’t go into technical details over how the technology works.
The company first introduced Super Likes in 2015 so users can let someone know they stand out from the crowd. Normally, you can only send one Super Like per day, and you can’t hoard them for later.
“Sending a Super Like increases your likelihood of matching by three times,” the company wrote. “Just remember, once you get your free Super Like, it’s use it or lose it.”
The new Super Likeable feature comes after Tinder this summer introduced a members-only service called Tinder Gold, which lets you see who likes you before you swipe, among other perks.
