Jaguar has confirmed that it will bring the production version of its electric SUV, the I-Pace, to the 2018 Geneva motor show in March.
The production model is expected to retain the concept’s design in most places, though there will be a slight toning down of the styling. The SUV has short front and rear overhangs, creating space on the inside for passengers while liberating room for the heavy battery pack.
While the concept car was powered by an electric motor at each axle (providing all-wheel drive), producing a combined 400hp and 700Nm of peak torque, the production version’s powertrain is still not known for sure. As per Jaguar’s claims, the concept’s 90kWh battery could power the I-Pace for 500km on a single charge.
