Thanks to an intelligent on-board charging system, the battery system in the all new Mercedes E350 e PHEV can be recharged in around 1 hour 45 minutes at a wallbox or at one of the growing number of public charging points which in some cases offer privileged parking in shopping malls and now at BHPetrol stations with FREE charging provided. Alternatively, charging via a standard home socket is of course also possible. Depending on the connection, a charge time of around two hours is achievable.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has made considerable investments following the introduction of the National Automotive Policy 2014. As industry leader in this regard, Mercedes-Benz has allocated significant resources towards product development, local assembly operations in Pekan, expanding the dealer network and training human capital to prepare for an EEV-centric automotive future.
The next initiative for a comprehensive Mercedes-Benz EEV strategy is a proliferation of charging infrastructure in strategic locations. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s partnership with Bangsar Shopping Centre is the maiden step in promoting electric vehicle infrastructure, with three charging bays allocated within the BSC carpark. This and future stations are specifically designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles to enable quicker, safer and more convenient charging.
