In support of the nation’s ambition of becoming the regional EEV hub, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has made considerable investments following the introduction of the National Automotive Policy 2014. As industry leader in this regard, Mercedes-Benz has allocated significant resources towards product development, local assembly operations in Pekan, expanding the dealer network and training human capital to prepare for an EEV-centric automotive future.
The next initiative for a comprehensive Mercedes-Benz EEV strategy is a proliferation of charging infrastructure in strategic locations. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s partnership with Bangsar Shopping Centre is the maiden step in promoting electric vehicle infrastructure, with three charging bays allocated within the BSC carpark. This and future stations are specifically designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles to enable quicker, safer and more convenient charging.
