GoPro made 2 announcements last week as the company introduced its latest flagship HERO model and the all-new Fusion camera. The GoPro HERO6 (USD499) Black features a 4K-capable sensor that can shoot Ultra HD footage at up to 60 fps as well as slow motion content at 240 fps in 1080p.
The new GP1 processor allows the camera to have twice the frame rates, enhanced image quality, dynamic range, improved low-light performance, and even better image stabilization. It also boasts a new touch zoom feature, faster upload speeds via 5Ghz Wi-Fi, improved dynamic range, RAW and HDR photo modes, voice control in 10 languages, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
The new Fusion Camera (USD699) is like having an IMAX camera in your pocket. It shoots massive 5.2K content at 30 fps and can also shoot at 3K at 60 fps. The camera is backed by an 18MP spherical sensor and also features advanced stabilization, 360-degree audio, a waterproof rating up to 16 feet, the same voice control features as the Hero line, GPS, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Compass, and Bluetooth+Wi-Fi.
