Malaysia’s 60th anniversary of Merdeka inspires a highly limited Montblanc 4810 commemorative edition timepiece and an exclusive fine stationery collection.
This year, to mark the historic anniversary of Malaysia’s 60th year of independence, Montblanc launches its commemorative Montblanc 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim Malaysia 60 Edition. This timepiece is an homage to the rich cultural tapestry and heritage of Malaysia.
Limited to only six numbered pieces (one to represent each decade), the highlight of this piece is a painstakingly hand-painted miniature map of Malaysia, each of which boast the slightest of variation from the next by virtue of its hand-painted execution.
In addition to this headline edition for Malaysia’s 60th, Montblanc also revisits Malaysia’s heritage through visual imagery of its past, present and future through an assortment of Montblanc Malaysia 60 Fine Stationery. On the inside cover of the Fine Stationery, one finds an artistic tribute to highly recognisable icons of Malaysian. These landmarks and monuments range from the distinctive architectural façades of the Sultan Abdul Samad building, the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers, the elegant Kuala Lumpur Tower and a jubilant Tunku Abdul Rahman – Malaysia’s first prime minister and founding father – proclaiming Malaysia’s independence.
