The 2-only allocated units of the LaFerrari Aperta sold to Malaysian buyers were by invitation from the Ferrari factory. Selling limited-edition Ferraris is the easiest job in the world as explained by Enrico Galliera, who is Ferrari’s chief marketing and commercial officer. All he did was simply send 200 of the LaFerrari Aperta keys to their (Ferrari’s) preferred clients (there were 2 in Malaysia only) and every single key recipient bought the open-roof hypercar without even seeing, touching or test driving it, and each one reportedly sold for USD3.9 million, although Ferrari never publicly put a price on the vehicle.
