The Art of Speed Malaysia 2017 held at MAEPS in Serdang saw the official launch of the new Honda Rebel by Boon Siew Honda. The bobber-inspired cruiser will be available in the market from end of August this year with a price of RM31,798.94 (including GST).
The Rebel comes with a 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine which produces 45 hp at 8,500 rpm and 44.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Mated with a six-speed transmission, the engine is said to deliver strong bottom end torque and a smooth, linear power.
Designed to be accessible to all types of riders, the new motorcycle has a slim body combined with low seat and handlebar height. As for aesthetics, the unit seen here comes with black detailing and H2C accessories which will be available as options.
The Rebel is equipped with 41 mm front fork and dual rear shocks, while braking power comes from hydraulic discs at both ends as well as ABS. It rides on 16 inch wheels wrapped in 130/90 (front) and 150/80 (rear) tyres.
The bike can be had in Graphite Black, Millennium Red and Matte Armoured Silver Metallic, and comes with a two year or 20,000km manufacturing warranty.
