Porsche might be taking the roof off on the 918 to make a new Spyder. There could also be a bump in power to get sales moving faster. The current Porsche 918’s 4.6-liter V8 engine and electric motors push out a combined output of 887hp and 1280Nm of torque. Porsche engineers could work to push out 950hp and 1350Nm if all goes as planned.
This Porsche 918 takes about 2.5 seconds to reach 100km/h, from a standstill, and will keep going up to an electronically limited top speed of 350km/h. The contenders at present are the sold out Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 and they will not be sitting quiet when this car is released.
