Fuji International Speedway will host round two of the 2017 Super GT Championship this week, with the race held mid-week as part of Japan’s annual “Golden Week” celebrations.
The 110-lap race will again be streamed live on NISMO TV on YouTube from the venue which hosts the annual NISMO Festival, this year scheduled for Sunday, November 26.
This is one of two visits to Fuji this year and the second longest race of the season at 500 km.
Last year’s Fuji 500 km event was a huge success for Nissan, with the GT-R going to victory lane in both the GT500 and GT300 classes.
Ronnie Quintarelli and Tsugio Matsuda took the GT500 win, while Jann Mardenborough had his first Japanese victory taking the GT300 win with Kazuki Hoshino.
The strong performances by GT Academy winner Mardenborough last year has earned him a seat in GT500 for 2017, joining forces with Hiro Yasuda aboard the Calsonic IMPUL GT-R.
