PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix CP115 Champion, Mohd Akid Aziz, had been selected to join five other upcoming Yamaha riders to take part in the 2017 edition of the VR46 Master Camp which will be held at Valentino Rossi’s training facility in Tavullia, Italy.
Chosen based on his sterling performance to date, 18-year-old Akid will undergo a five day intensive training camp from May 10 to 14 alongside Thailand’s Peerapong Boonlert, Anggi Setiawan from Indonesia, Japanese rider Shota Ite , 19-year-old Brandon Demmery from Australia and Canadian Tomas Casas.

Most of the training will be conducted using the dirt bike which is considered as the best tool to enhance a rider’s feel of his machine. Training will be conducted by the professional trainers at the VR46 camp, together with Valentino Rossi himself and European Flat Track champion Marco Belli.
“This opportunity is a big deal for me and I want to thank Hong Leong Yamaha and my team, team PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha Maju Motor. I will make full use of this chance to improve on my future racing performance,” said Akid, who is the second rider from team Maju Motor to have won the distinction.
