1You have RM70,000 to buy a car and this VW Polo could be it
Volkswagen in Malaysia has made a few changes to the latest Polo’s styling for this 1.6 twin-cam model. This Volkswagen Polo 1.6 hatchback and its sibling, the Polo Sedan have three key common features: four automatic power windows with anti-pinch function, 6-speed auto transmission, and an Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS) which will automatically unlock all doors, turn off power to the fuel pump, and turn on the hazard lights when an airbag is deployed or a safety belt tensioner fires.
Visit a Volkswagen showroom and take this Polo hatch for a test drive to experience for yourself how insanely fun this car is, especially when it is put through its paces. The secret to this vehicle’s athletic prowess however is down to physics and its power to weight ratio. The steering is responsive and provides great feedback whilst the 6-speed gearbox is smooth in its shifts.
Inside there is the usual high quality fit and finish and a good level of equipment. The doors are nice and solid to open and close and they give the Polo a quality feel.
Specification includes airbags and automatic air conditioning, electrically-operated windows and door mirrors, multifunction computer, a new good sound system, lots of storage space, centre armrest and folding rear seats.
Very affordable and underpinned by proven technology, this Polo 1.6 hatchback comes as a highly-recommended purchase within its segment. It may forego the relative sophistication that we are accustomed to with VW models higher up the food chain, but in place of cutting-edge technology comes reliability and durability.
