This is the all new XV and it now sits on the new Subaru Global Platform. With Subaru’s new “Dynamic x Solid” design philosophy, this all new XV gains a slightly wider, slightly lower stance but ground clearance stays at 8.6 inches (220 millimeters) for off-road needs. The new platform is 70% more rigid over the outgoing model.
The cabin gets a new 8.0-inch touchscreen display, a more premium feel and a newly designed steering wheel.
Power comes from a “revamped” 2.0-liter Boxer engine with more than 80% of new and revised parts which makes it lighter, more powerful, and with better fuel economy.
Power delivery is at 148 horsepower with torque remaining at 196Nm.
This new XV still gets the Symmetrical all-wheel drive, and sees the introduction of X-Mode, which is said to improve driving performance on poor road conditions by optimizing engine control. More information and pictures will be shared soon.
