Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has launched its inaugural “Polo P” project, dedicated to educating and empowering new licensed drivers with the skills and knowledge to stay safe on the roads.
The “Polo P” project will take place at selected college and university campuses, and over the course of a weekend, participants will be taught basic car maintenance, visual checkpoints, proper sitting and steering positions, and defensive driving which includes emergency braking, and a slalom course.
All driving exercises will be conducted in the Polo 1.6L hatchback – might be small in stature, but is certainly big on fun. The perfect ride for those who are young – and young at heart, the Polo’s 1.6-litre and a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic, offers a zippy driving experience at a maximum torque of 153Nm, with fuel consumption of only 6.3L per 100km.
