Every so often, Lamborghini graces its product range with an ‘S’ variant. For the Aventador, this brings a slew of changes on just about every level. The Aventador S Coupé inherits the same V12 engine but adds 40hp to the mix. But the added power isn’t the end of the story. Lamborghini has also added a more sophisticated brain: the Lamborghini Active Vehicle Dynamics control unit.
This manages each of the vehicle’s axles using the car’s rear wheel steering and dynamic steering abilities. With four-wheel steering in place, the Aventador is now incredibly agile.
Vehicle dynamics are also supplemented by new Magneto-rheological suspension and active rear aerodynamics. 4 wheel drive and Pirelli’s latest P-Zero tyres add to this supercar’s cornering abilities.
In terms of looks, the Aventador S Coupé brings some sharper, more aggressive lines, hexagonal tailpipes and altogether add to the vehicle’s downforce by up to 130% in front. The new side air vents, on the other hand, reduce turbulence and improve cooling of the engine.
The interior sees new innovative materials such as Carbon Skin and exposed carbon fibre parts. The instrument panel has redesigned graphics and there’s a LED lighting system for interior illumination.
