Shemud’s last event took place in the Malaysian jungle in the state of Negeri Sembilan. The event involved competitors in teams of two (driver and co-pilot) tackling a series of short technical stages to prove their skills in navigation, driving, winching and speed. This year saw teams competing from all over the world including Thailand, Sri Lanka, Czech Republic, Australia, Malaysia and returning champions Italy.
After 4 days of hard-core competition and jungle camping the event came to a close with an awards ceremony at the seaside town of Port Dickson. Team Italy with driver Guilia Maroni and navigator Barbara Naldoni maintained their position as champions for the 2nd consecutive year with a score of 300 points.
Team Czech Republic, driver Denisa Pappova and navigator Petra Vavrova came in 2nd with a score of 262 points.
