The trend continues for engine downsizing and the latest muscle car to be retired is the iconic Holden Commodore SS from Australia. The next generation Commodore will be a globally developed General Motors (GM) model which will probably be a rebadged Opel Insignia (part of the GM family) with local engineering input in ride and handling. The 575Nm of torque 6.2L V8 petrol engine will be retired. In its place will probably be a 2L turbo and a 3L turbo engine.
