BMW Motorrad joins Ducati in the carbon fibre party with its most exclusive model in its history to date: the BMW HP4 Race.
Making its debut at the EICMA 2016 motorcycle show in Milan, the HP4 Race is pretty much the S1000RR with a full carbon twin-spar frame and wheels. This makes it only the second bike to feature a carbon fibre frame after the 1299 Superleggera.
No mention on the drivetrain, hardware and electronics yet, though we expect the HP4 Race to set itself apart from the bike it is based on with more power and a myriad of track-focused goodies.
“We will reveal more about this model next spring,” says Stephan Schaller, President BMW Motorrad.
BMW Motorrad also confirms that the HP4 Race will be manufactured by hand in an exclusive limited series and supplied in the second half of 2017.
