The new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe was introduced this morning at KL Performing Arts Centre. This new crossover coupe embodies the next-gen of Mercedes-Benz vehicles with a confident and progressive look. Featuring an AMG Line exterior, the GLC Coupe takes sportiness to the highest level, from the dynamic AMG styling and diamond radiator grille with chrome pins through to the 20-inch AMG light alloy wheels.
The interior continues the athletic theme with seats in ARTICO leather, AMG sports pedals and AMG floor mats with embroidered ‘AMG’ lettering. They’ve even equipped it with a flat-bottomed AMG sports steering wheel.
Combining style and function, technology options include the LED Intelligent Light System headlamps, which include a cornering light function, active light function and dynamic range adjustment for ideal visibility in all weather conditions.
The only variant being sold is the GLC 250 4MATIC Coupe which draws power from a 2-litre inline 4 producing 211hp at 5500rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1200-4000rpm. The 9-speed 9G-TRONIC auto box sends this immense amount of power and torque to all four wheels. The powertrain is just as efficient as it is potent – with a fuel consumption of just 7.3 litres/100km despite its apt 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds. We’re not sure if this was a coincidence or some very accurate German engineering.
The GLC 250 4MATIC Coupe being offered for RM423,888. Customers will still get a degree of customizability, though. For an additional RM5,000, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia will equip your GLC Coupe with a Burmester Surround Sound System.
