If you’re in the market for a mid-sized SUV that’s a bit on the premium side, you’re probably going to look at these two options. The Audi Q5 is dynamically superior in almost every aspect. It’s quieter, way more composed on the highway. Its got a much more solid build, and a lot of power to play with.
But while a downsized, turbocharged engine and a dual-clutch gearbox are great fun, maintainance costs over a long term period may be higher than what the Toyota offers.
Plus, when you put the two next to each other, it’s clear to see that the Harrier wins in the looks department. Yes, material choices could be better on the Toyota, but you do get a very comfortable, elegant package. Shame about the noise levels though – otherwise this fight would have been a no-brainer!
