EEV is a vehicle that meets the carbon emissions and fuel consumption standards issued by the Malaysian Automotive Institute (MIA) in the National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2014. In case of motorcycles with engines between 101 cc and 150 cc capacities, the EEV certificate will be granted to models that consume less than 2.2 litres of gasoline per 100 kilometres.

While the Malaysian government aims to have 85% of the total vehicles production to be EEVs by 2020, today, 83% of Boon Siew Honda’s production (January to July) are EEVs, coming from the certified four models. The company is committed to continuously introduce new EEV models for the Malaysian market to meet the government’s target.
