Motor Image Malaysia, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia, just announced the 10 finalists that will be representing the country in the upcoming MediaCorp Subaru Car Challenge 2016 – The Asian Face-Off in Singapore.
The Subaru Palm Challenge 2016 – Malaysia Face-Off took place yesterday at Piazza, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. After nine hours and three minutes, the 10 Malaysians managed to out battle other hopefuls through pure will and determination, and qualify for the grand finale in Singapore.
To stay in the running, the participants kept their palms on the vehicle at all times and were only granted 10-minute breaks every six hours to have meals or visit the washroom. They also had to endure challenging conditions, including scorching heat and a series of tough challenges.
“It was definitely not as easy as I thought it would be; I prepared myself physically for the challenge and I thought that would be sufficient but after a couple of hours into the challenge, I suddenly realized that it was more of a mental and spiritual focus that I needed to keep going! Now that I know, I can’t wait to bring my energy and focus to Singapore and bring home a Subaru XV!” said finalist Yeong Shao Yei.
