Hong Leong Yamaha Issues Recall for YZF-R25

In a statement, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd (HLYM) has confirmed that it will run a recall program for a series of Yamaha YZF-R25, involving the pressure plate assembly and oil pump assembly. It will be conducted by region in stages.

Units involved in the program are models with frame number beginning with PMYRG1510E-000xxxx and PMYRG1510F-000xxxx. Units with frame number from PMYRG1510G-0004321 to PMYRG1510G-0006357 are affected as well.

HLYM will be sending individual notice to the owners of the affected units from early August 2016 onwards. Owners who receive the notice are urged to contact authorised Yamaha repair location to make an appointment for the replacement of the affected parts.

Owners are asked to be patient and continue to ride and maintain their motorcycles in accordance to the instructions in the owner’s manual.
