A.P. Honda, the official Honda motorcycle distributor in Thailand, is marking a new chapter for road safety scene in the country with the launch of Honda Safety Riding Parks in Chiangmai and Phuket. Built to be the most advanced and largest in Southeast Asia, the park is equipped with on-road and dirt track to cater to different styles of motorcycle riding. The launch aims to reduce the number of road accidents while increase the safe riding culture, leading to safer roads for Thailand.
“As the leader of Thailand’s motorcycle industry, A.P. Honda has realised the importance of road safety and started the Honda Safety Thailand project since 1989. The project comprises of three main parts which are delivering knowledge and riding skill via safety riding centres, raising road safety awareness through different campaigns including Zero Accident, and cooperation with other organisations to decrease the number of road accidents” said Mr.Yoichi Mizutani, President of A.P. Honda Co., Ltd.
“Honda has invested over 600 million baht to create these two parks to become Thailand’s best and Asia’s largest riding centres. Aiming to be the next community hub, Honda Safety Riding Parks have been designed to accommodate both on-road and dirt riding. Participants will be trained by internationally-acclaimed instructors.”
The buildings of the Honda Safety Riding Parks in Chiang Mai and Phuket have been designed to be environmentally-friendly and rely less on air-conditioners. The training room is installed with a glass wall for participants to observe the track during studying theories. The building exterior has been decorated with metal to reflect the innovation and vehicle of the future.
New training courses designed particularly for Honda Safety Riding Park are divided into two formats: Skilled Riding Course which comprising Cornering, Straight Rhythm, Gymkhana; and Dirt Course which comprising Dirt for Kids, Dirt Bike Beginner, Dirt Bike Basic, and Dirt Bike Experience.
