Honda Malaysia today made waves in the local automotive industry, particularly for the C-segment category, with the official launch of the highly anticipated 10th generation Honda Civic. In terms of standard equipment , all variants of the Civic are equipped with LED daytime running lights , automatic headlights and side mirrors with integrated turning lights. The two VTEC Turbo variants ride on 17-inch wheels, as opposed to the entry-level model that settles with 16-inch wheels.
The cabin, meanwhile, highlights a more streamlined and ergonomic design that is combined with a slew of features including paddle shifters (for Turbo variants only), a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, touch panel for AC control, rear AC vents, and a full-colour LCD meter.
Additionally, all three variants are kitted with Remote Engine Start which allows you to fire up the engine via a button on the key fob, Walk Away Auto Lock, and 8-way driver power seat. The Turbo variants are embellished with a dark leather upholstery while the 1.8S gets fabric upholstery.
For infotainment, the Civic comes standard with a seven-inch display with USB, MP3, iPod, hands-free telephone with voice recognition, and a total of eight speakers. Navigation is only offered in the 1.5 VTEC Turbo Premium variant.
On the drivetrain front, the 1.8S i-VTEC boasts 141 PS at 5,500 rpm and 174 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm, while the 1.5 VTEC Turbo mill churns out 173 PS and 220 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 5,500 rpm. Both engines are combined with a CVT developed using Honda’s Earth Dreams technology.

The all-new Civic is available in five colours, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and two brand new colours, Lunar Silver Metallic and White Orchid Pearl. These two new colours will eventually be applied to other models under Honda Malaysia’s production.
The price starts from RM113,800 for the 1.8S i-VTEC, RM127,800 for the 1.5 VTEC Turbo, and RM135,800 for the 1.5 VTEC Turbo Premium. It comes with a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage and service interval of 10,000km.
