Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) expands its Triton model lineup with the introduction of the new Triton Knight. The variant, which is based on the Triton VGT Adventure, is limited to only 120 units.
Setting itself apart from the model it’s based on, the Triton Knight comes in Pearl White and a slew of new accessories such as 17-inch matte black alloy wheels and matte black front grille. The pickup truck also gets a matte black rear bumper, sports bar with sports lid, a front bumper extender, as well as exclusive ‘Knight’ body stickers.
Inside, the makeover is completed with the addition of leather seats with ‘Knight’ embroidery. Standard equipment include Xenon HID headlamps with daytime running lights, push start button, keyless operation, tilt and telescopic steering and paddle shifters for manual control of the automatic transmission when the driver wants it.
Powering the Triton Knight is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with an intercooled Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) that churns out 178 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The unit is mated to five-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode, which channels the drive to the wheels via Mitsubishi’s Easy Select 4WD system.
Priced at RM122,487.84, the Mitsubishi Triton Knight comes with two years of free maintenance with RM2,000 cash rebate or free labour with RM4,000 cash rebate. It also comes with a factory warranty of three years or the first 100,000 km.
