Mercedes-Benz is working on an ASEAN sized pickup truck with Nissan. A concept truck will be shown at the 2016 Paris Auto Show this October and this will provide a closer indication of what we can expect for the production model due out in late 2017 or early the following year.
The new truck, which we have heard might be called a GLT or even an X-Class, will be a serious workhorse with some luxury thrown in in typical Mercedes fashion, as opposed to a proper luxury offering with a bed out back. This is because the truck will be based on the body-on-frame platform found in the latest Nissan NP300 Navara.
