Perodua today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Penang Regional Development Authority (PERDA) that will develop human capital in the north of the Malaysian peninsular. This will be done by establishing the Perodua Technical Training Centre in the Northern region.
The MOU sees PERDA lend its PERDA-TECH building to house the Perodua Technical Training Centre. The structure will also serve as a hostel for trainees, who will consist of youths who have an interest in cars.
According to the agreement, Perodua will supply training equipment, technology, machines and vehicles worth RM250,000. The national car maker will also supply teaching staff. PERDA on the other hand has spent RM170,000 renovating and modifying the PERDA-TECH building to make it suitable for use by Perodua.
