Based off the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider, this very limited edition Disco Volante Spyder takes the roof off the modern Disco Volante built by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.
The small volume coach builder is keeping things mum, but if rumours are to be believed, the Spyder will be powered by the familiar Maserati GranTurismo 4.7-liter V8 and have a 6-speed semi automatic transmission too.
It’s undeniably beautiful both inside and out, so we’re glad photos were released a week before its grand unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show. From what we’ve seen, the Spyder will sport a removable hard top which consists of 2 carbon-fibre pieces weighing 3.5 kilograms each.
