We keep seeing this almost daily when on the road but this time we were in the passenger seat and we managed to snap a picture of this driver holding a toddler on her lap while driving…..this is very very very dangerous especially in heavy traffic where there will be constant braking and moving and braking again.
In heavy traffic it is very common for fender bender accidents to occur which when it happens will have the driver lunging forward and squashing the toddler against the hard steering wheel. Even worse, if the airbag deploys the child might be severely injured.
We hope she and the many others who do this regularly read this and stop having a child/toddler on their lap when driving. Even if they are driving inside their neighbourhood heading to the convenience shop (which is very common).
