The VIZIV 2 is Subaru’s ‘Vision for Innovation’
The interior doesn’t look production ready at all. Many of the LCD panels were for show, but considering most of what’s shown has been done before on other cars, it’s safe to say that Subaru can bring a dashboard like this to market.
The most eye-catching thing about the VIZIV is of course the doors. The butterfly front doors swing upward on a hinge while the rear doors slide out and backward like they do on certain MPVs. Here’s a quick video demonstration:
While undeniably cool, there’s also a function to opening doors this way. As you can see, the VIZIV 2 has very unrestricted access with its doors open.
The doors are opened with electric motors and are controlled remotely. Whether this feature will translate to a production variant is not known.
The VIZIV also utilises Subaru’s EyeSight safety system and is expected to carry both a boxer petrol engine and 2 electric motors.
